If you have not already, you should report the incident to the police and give them as much information as possible, including the partial license plate. They can search their database to find a match, based on the partial license and the type of vehicle. **Never** leave the scene of the accident to follow someone to another location. We have reported this incident to the police and gave them Everything we have. They were 'too busy' to come out, but advised us to do a police report via telephone. I'm not native to Austin, but I do Love it here. The lady was Very unwilling to stay at the scene, her excuse was the heavy traffic. I asked a detective to investigate the 911 calls around that time, to see if someone happened to turn in both license plates involved in the accident. I do feel like a fool, but I had no idea what to do in this situation, I have never been put in a situation like this and was rather shocked that she refused to stay at the scene of the accident. 05 17, 2013 | 20:11 |
